Streets

Stockholm's streets do not perform. They persist: busy at rush hour, empty in the rain, indifferent to whoever passes through with a camera. Working in black and white with a Leica M, I try to meet that indifference on its own terms: no staging, no second takes, just the discipline of being present when a gesture, a shadow, or a stranger's glance briefly aligns.
This is not documentary work in the strict sense. It is an ongoing, unfinished record of a city I have lived in long enough to stop noticing, and photography is how I force myself to look again. The camera's small size and quiet shutter matter here, since the best moments on the street are usually the ones nobody notices being taken.
What holds these images together is not a theme but a method: walk without a plan, watch longer than feels natural, and trust that ordinary streets, seen closely enough, are rarely ordinary.
